Hello everyone! In these posts I’ll be sharing with you my favorite documentaries and interviews from various royal families. For my first post, I decided to start off with the British Royal Family.
Let’s start with Prince William and Kate Middleton’s engagement interview:
OK, if you’ve been following the royals for a while, this is one you have probably already watched. However, I had to include it as it is a must-watch for me. This was our first peek on Kate’s personality. It was the first time we heard her speak and after being dubbed “waity Katie”, everyone was waiting to see what Kate had to say about their relationship. It’s obvious that she wasn’t comfortable in front of the camera-which makes sense considering that this was her very first interview. It’s still cute though and you can see glimpses of their personalities and their relationship’s dynamic. Go ahead and watch it if you haven’t already!
The next one is also about Prince William and The Duchess of Cambridge:
As you can see, this is part I so obviously it’s followed by a part II. However both parts combined are about 30 mins long so it’s short enough for those who can’t focus on a documentary for too much. This is a short BBC documentary that was released prior to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011. It will give you all the feels and it’s perfect if you are interested in this couple and if you want to learn more about their relationship.
This one is a bit longer, as it’s almost one hour long. However, it is pretty informative and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in Queen Elizabeth II and the British royals.
This one is for you history junkies: Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots:
OK, first things first: I love Reign and yes I know it’s totally not historically accurate but Adelaide Kane made me love Mary Stuart. As most of us know Queen Elizabeth I and grow to love her, Mary Stuart became somewhat of a neglected historical figure. This one is a bit long, running about 45 mins so it’s perfect if you are bored and want to learn more about Mary.
Is there a documentary about the British royals you would like to suggest?
